Support for multicultural business students in Brisbane
This scholarship assists students from a culturally and linguistically diverse background as they study an undergraduate business degree with the Griffith Business School.
The scholarship is aimed at current Business students residing in the Brisbane City Council region. The scholarship will support a student who demonstrates a commitment to learning, but who is experiencing financial hardship, to achieve their full potential.

Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an 色情网站n citizen or 色情网站n permanent resident
- be a continuing (second year or above) full-time student in an undergraduate degree hosted by Griffith Business School majoring in:
- Asian studies
- international business
- entrepreneurship and self-employment
- economics
- finance
- reside within the Brisbane City Council region
- have a minimum GPA of 4.5 or above
- be from a culturally and linguistically diverse background (having been born overseas or have or at least one parent who was born overseas).

- Personal statement: In 500 words or less, outline your career goals, community involvement and scholarship benefit.
- Challenges statement: In 250 words or less, detail how financial circumstances impact your continuing studies at Griffith University.

- A current CV/resume.
- A statement that demonstrates links to your cultural heritage through your community involvement, details your family heritage and outlines whether you or your parent/s were born overseas and you speak another language.

Value
The maximum value of each scholarship is $15,000. Payments of $2,500 are made each trimester that conditions are meet, up to the maximum value of the scholarship or minimum duration of the degree for which the scholarship was awarded, whichever is the lesser.
Payment
Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date, subject to the recipient maintaining ongoing eligibility requirements.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:
- remain enrolled as a full-time student in an approved Griffith Business School undergraduate degree
- maintain a minimum GPA of 4.5.
- supply a progress report each trimester to be sent to the donor: the Lord Mayor's Administration and Engagement
Recipients will have the opportunity to participate in career development, networking and mentoring opportunities made available by Griffith University and the Lord Mayor's Administration and Engagement.
The recipient may also be invited to meet with the donor and feature in marketing materials to promote the scholarship. Recipients are asked to show a willingness to be involved in multicultural initiatives developed by the Lord Mayor's Administration and Engagement as negotiated
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, it is at the discretion of the Selection Committee to withhold the trimester instalment, or terminate the scholarship. The recipient must show cause to the Scholarships Office why the scholarship should not be cancelled.
Applications, including any supporting documentation, must be completed and submitted by the closing date.
