An Evening in Concert
with 3rd year Musical Theatre students
5 to 8 MARCH | TONY GOULD GALLERY, QPAC
Enjoy an evening of song from the talented third-year students of the Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre, Griffith University.
As they commence their professional year of Musical Theatre studies in the prestigious studios of QPAC, these young artists contemplate their journey so far and the exciting path ahead. It’s an evening of comedy, drama and personal reflections, featuring songs both well known and rarely performed.
Carrie the Musical
2 to 10 MAY | CREMORNE THEATRE, QPAC
Carrie White is a teenage misfit. She’s an outcast who is bullied by the popular crowd, and virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she’s dominated by her loving but cruelly controlling and overprotective mother. What none of them know is that Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it…
Patrons are advised that this production contains sexual references, adult themes, depictions of bullying, blood, violence and death, use of strobe lighting, haze and smoke. Recommended for ages 16+.
A Chorus Line
29 JULY to 9 AUGUST | CONSERVATORIUM THEATRE
This special 50th anniversary production is performed in conjunction with Griffith University’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
A Chorus Line examines one day in the lives of seventeen dancers, all vying for a spot in the “chorus line” of a Broadway musical. Based on real Broadway dancers’ stories, A Chorus Line is a is funny, heartbreaking, and refreshingly honest musical capturing the spirit and tension of a Broadway chorus audition.
Class of 2025 Musical Theatre Showcase
11 to 13 SEPTEMBER | TONY GOULD GALLERY, QPAC
Queensland Academy of Excellence in Musical Theatre’s Class of 2024 presents their Showcase. Featuring some of the industry’s most rich and moving repertoire, this event has been superbly crafted to create a talent-packed showcase, spotlighting the Bachelor of Musical Theatre graduating students of 2025.

An Evening in Concert is a celebration of where the musical theatre students are at towards the end of their second year of training. They have all challenged themselves with the material they have chosen to perform, and they look forward to sharing these beautiful songs with you.
Songs For A New World
4 to 8 NOVEMBER | TONY GOULD GALLERY, QPAC
It's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice... or take a stand... or turn around and go back. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World. The first musical written by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County), this moving collection of powerful songs examines life, love and the choices that we make. With a rousing score that blends elements of pop, gospel and jazz, tight harmonies, daring vocals and creative choreography, Songs for a New World appeals to old and new generations alike.
