Management Team

Professor Juliet Pietsch

Head of School

Professor Juliet Pietsch is a leading scholar in the specialist fields of migration politics and political behaviour in ɫ��վ and Southeast Asia. She has published more than 60 research publications, including six single-authored and co-authored books and edited collections. Juliet has also played a lead investigator role on six ARC grants - collectively worth more than $1.6 million - that involve the development of research data infrastructure for the study of migration and political behaviours.

Professor Luis Cabrera

Deputy Head of School and Director, Learning and Teaching

Professor Luis Cabrera researches the roles international organizations can play in supporting and advancing individual rights. He has authored or edited 6 books and some 40 journal articles and book chapters. He has taught courses in International Relations, political theory and U.S. politics. He joined Griffith in 2014, after teaching in the United States and UK, and reporting for The Associated Press in Seattle.

Dr Ferran Martinez i Coma

Director, Research

Dr Ferran Martinez i Coma is Director, Research in the School of Government and International Relations. His current research specialises in electoral integrity, comparative politics, political parties and electoral behaviour. Ferran has also been a policy practitioner at the national - Spain's Prime Minister's office- and local level (Barcelona City Hall).

His current ARC grant is exploring How can Political Actors shape turnout?
